Easily attaches to the side of your bird's cage with the wingnut and washer attachment. Java wood naturally cracks, this is normal and does not affect its integrity.

Solid platform no complaints in its design or purpose however, my peachface lovebird was not a fan and takes him some time to adjust to new furnishings in his avery. Had to cut off the paper decorations as he managed to soil them behind cleaning.
