Hari Hagen - Tropican and Tropimix

Hagen's Hari range comes out of the Hagen Avicultural Research Institute, which has been running parrot nutrition and breeding research since 1985. The two lines it is best known for do different jobs.

Tropican is the extruded formulated diet, in 2mm granules for cockatiels and small parrots, 4mm granules for parrots and sticks for large parrots, plus High Performance and hand feeding formulas. Tropimix combines those same extruded sticks with whole grains, legumes, peanuts, fruit and vegetables, and being shell free the whole lot is edible with nothing thrown out as husk. That makes it the better option for moving a seed addicted bird onto a formulated diet, since it rewards foraging while it converts. The range also covers Little Foragers treats and Prime, Clay-Cal and charcoal supplements.
