Our Freeze-dried Corn Slices are made in-house using locally sourced, human-grade ingredients, so you know precisely what your birds are eating. Great for camping or long trips away with your bird where fresh foods might not be available.

Studies have shown that freeze-dried foods often retain over 97% of the original fresh food’s nutrition, much more than other drying techniques (air-drying, heat-drying), which usually damage micronutrients. If properly stored, freeze-dried foods can last up to 25 years.

    Corn
  • How much to feed
    It can be offered 2-3 times a week, considering your bird's daily needs. For small birds break into small pieces.
  • Freeze Dried Storage
    Do not refrigerate or freeze; store in an air-tight container.

    If you leave the packet open and exposed to air, it will spoil.

    Push as much air out of the bag as you can before resealing.

    We recommend using it within one month of opening.

    Keep oxygen absorber away from your bird and children.
  • Food Safety
    We only use human-grade ingredients.

    Freeze-dried food is not exempt from food hygiene standards.

    Always handle with clean hands and prepare on clean surfaces.

    Treat it just like fresh food, although no washing is required.

    The feeder is responsible for maintaining food hygiene.

  • How to use
    Dry - Offer 1-2 pieces every few days in a bowl or foraging toy.

    Rehydrate - Soak in warm water (not boiling) until soft to the touch, drain and cool, then serve.

This kept my sun conure very entertained while I was away at a meeting. It attached easily to his large indoor cage. He loved foraging in the little colourful beads for treats that I hid.He was making his happy sound.🥰Then, kept himself busy shredding the cardboard. I felt happy knowing he had a wonderful experience with the Avian Care Cardboard Platform. I would purchase this again.

My elderly Galah has only ever eaten fresh corn on the cob so it is taken a while for her to warm to the freeze dried but she is, slowly. I think they are great. Well packed, easy to store and convenient.

You can give them as little or as much as you want them to have. Way more messy though but the birds LOVE it :D

  • No toy is 100% safe; toys should be inspected daily for damaged or broken parts. Damaged or broken toys should be removed immediately. All products should be offered under strict supervision.
